Manchester City loanee James Trafford has revealed that he had offers from foreign clubs before deciding to sign for Accrington Stanley on loan at the start of this season. The Bolton Wanderers shot stopper confirmed that he had offers to continue his football education abroad in an exclusive interview with MEN (Manchester Evening News). According to him, the goal is to become the number one goalkeeper at Manchester City and he believes that staying in England will help him to achieve that goal.
Speaking further on the interest from teams last summer, they young goalkeeper said he won’t mention names and that he could have played in the second division in France, Spain or Holland. He stayed in England to develop into a better goalkeeper in his bid to become the go-to man for Manchester City in between the sticks like Ederson.
