BOLTON SECURE THIRD SUCCESSIVE WIN

Bolton Wanderers secured their third straight win in all competitions following the 2-0 away win over London team MK Dons in a League One clash played on Tuesday night at Stadium MK. Bolton Wanderers have done well to recover from three straight defeats in all competitions at the end of last month to record three straight wins in all competitions.

In League One football, Bolton Wanderers were unbeaten in four games at the start of the season before the 2-0 home loss to Sheffield Wednesday. Bolton Wanderers were also unbeaten in five games in all competitions including the 5-1 home win over fellow League One team Salford City with ten men in the first round of the EFL (English Football League) Cup.

The home loss to the Owls in the league was followed by the 4-1 comeback defeat to Premier League side Aston Villa at home for Bolton Wanderers in the second round of the EFL Cup. Bolton took the lead through Northern Irish forward Dion Charles on 24 minutes before Villa turned the game on its head with four goals including three second half goals. Brazil international Douglas Luiz scored from a direct corner kick for the equaliserbefore Danny Ings (penalty), Lucas Digne and Leon Bailey scored for Villa to take the game away from Bolton and seal a place in the EFL Cup third round.
Bolton Wanderers made it three consecutive losses with the 2-0 loss at the hands of home team Plymouth Argyle in League One football. They recovered from three straight defeats with the 4-1 win over Crewe Alexandra at home in the group stage of the Football League Trophy. The 3-1 win over Charlton Athletic at home in League One made it two straight wins. Dion Charles and Gretin Jones then scored either side of the half-time break to give Bolton a big win over MK Dons away from home. They are now up to fifth spot on the league table as a result of the away win over MK Dons with 14 points from eight games.
