Bolton’s new manager Phil Parkinson is eyeing new players

There was a period of time when Bolton Wanderers was not able to secure consistent results and this occurred in the final few months of Neil Lennon, back when he was in charge of the English club.

Bolton Wanderers struggled so much during this period of time that they recorded their first win in 18 matches and their first victory was secured in December of 2015. Neil Lennon was eventually sacked from coaching Bolton and the club was relegated from the English Championship League.

Phil Parkinson was the man selected as the new coach of Bolton Wanderers and this announcement was made official to the public on June 10 of 2016.

"Bolton Wanderers Football Club are delighted to announce Phil Parkinson as the club's new first team manager," An official statement from the website of Bolton Wanderers said as the appointment of Phil Parkinson was officially confirmed.

It’s been less than 1 month since Parkinson took charge of the club but there already are rumors of what the English manager is planning to do and a number of players have been linked with Bolton Wanderers.

Mark Beevers is one of the players that are being linked with a summer transfer to Bolton Wanderers but this isn’t something new as Beevers has been in the radar of the English club as early as 2008 back when he was only 19 years old but a transfer has never truly been completed.

After being relegated from the English Championship League, Bolton Wanderers will have to compete in the League One but the recently appointed coach Phil Parkinson does not want to remain competing in the League One for a long time as he wants to earn a promotion spot back into the 2nd tier English League, the Championship but in order to do this, it’s necessary to have a quality squad and this is why he is monitoring a few other players besides Mark Beevers including: Matt Gilks and Jamie Proctor.
