Zach Clough has made a total of 9 appearances for Bolton Wanderers in the current season of 2016-17 but it wasn’t until very recently that he managed to score his first league goal with the English League One club as the 21 year old attacker scored against Oldham in a match that saw Bolton Wanderers claiming a 2-0 triumph on October 15.
The first goal of this match was scored in the 10 opening minutes of the match as Zach Clough found the back of the net through a free-kick and the last goal was netted at the 77th minute which was more than enough for Bolton Wanderers to secure their 6th triumph of the season.
These goals that Zach Clough scored were particularly important for him as he had not scored any league goals until this point in time and considering that he had already made 9 appearances, it’s fairly disappointing to see the youngster not being able to find the back of the net but finally ended his goal drought as he made his first real significant contribution to Bolton Wanderers as they are attempting to secure a promotion spot to the English League Championship and any victory might be the difference between achieving this objective and just falling short from it.
After 13 league matches, Bolton Wanderers has snatched the 3rd spot of the English League One with 22 points being secured out of these games. Oldham Athletic on the other continue to drown in the bottom spots of the league with only 12 points and are trying to get away from the relegation zone but have not been able to do so.
